Nerve lateralisation

Nerve lateralisation (also known as nerve repositioning) is a specialised surgical procedure within implantology for situations with pronounced bone loss in the lateral lower jaw. When the amount of bone above the sensitive main nerve of the lower jaw (inferior alveolar nerve) is insufficient for placing standard implants, a temporary repositioning of this nerve may be necessary to create space for the implants. This demanding procedure requires the highest surgical precision and experience, which our oral and maxillofacial surgeons possess, to preserve the sensation of the lower lip and chin as far as possible while still enabling you to have fixed tooth replacement.
